We are very pleased to announce that “The 1st World Congress of Taiwan Studies” (WCTS) will be held on April 26-28, 2012 at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. On behalf of WCTS Organizing Committee, we are sincerely welcome you to attend the congress. With your support and participation, we believe all the participants will greatly benefit from the conference.

　　The Congress is being organized jointly by 11 Institutes and Centers under the Humanities and Social Sciences Division of Academia Sinica; and consists of 2 keynote speeches and 26 sessions in which 102 papers will be presented. Around 170 reputed domestic and international scholars who are leading experts on “Taiwan Studies” have been invited to attend the Congress, providing an excellent opportunity for academic resources sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration. It is also expected the Congress will facilitate a working network for future Taiwan studies worldwide.
